These toothbrushes are okay, and I like the price, but I think the bristles are too firm to be called “soft”. They seem more like “medium” to me.I actually prefer medium, but my dentist told me to use soft. So, I’m not sure whether or not to return these.

These do not seem like normal Colgate tooth brushes. Either they are counterfeit, or Colgate has a run of very low quality brushes. I even got replacement Colgate brushes from Walmart and they are night and day better quality then these. They look and feel like a cheap knock off tooth brush. The worst part is they claim to be soft bristles, they are not, they are harder then any hard bristly brush I’ve used before. Hoped they’d soften up with use, they did not. Would NOT recommend using these on your teeth.

Why was it hard to find cheap toothbrushes on Amazon? I can walk into Aldi and buy cheap toothbrushes, but I don’t want to go to Aldi for toothbrushes. These are the least luxurious toothbrushes I found on Amazon. The only thing they’re good for is brushing your teeth. 5-stars for the only toothbrush on Amazon without doctor-recommended multi-function ADA-certified waveform-generated tongue scrubbers.

These are advertised as soft bristled, but are extremely hard bristled. I do not brush my teeth hard whatsover, and this made my gum bleed after one brushing session. I reached out to Amazon about the issue and they initiated a refund. I also advised that they may want to alter the description of the item as it is fairly misleading.
Not the best product for me, but if you are looking for a set of hard bristled tooth brushes, these are for you, and at a decent price.

when you brush your teeth the back of the toothbrush has hard plastic that rubs on the other teeth. feels like it would cause damage if used all the time. good for guests if they needed one for the night i guess

As the manufacturer states in one of the answers above (re softness), these six brushes are of “standard” softness. Over the years, out of curiosity, I’ve tried medium and even hard (which is really awful for enamel) and these are actually just right: Not so soft that you’re replacing every week or two, but not so hard that you’re defying the one rule every dentist I’ve ever known has stated: soft brushes only–of any make with any bells, whistles and gongs that make you happy! I’ve read more than once that it’s good to replace your toothbrush every month or so because of wear, bacteria…. And at this price, why wouldn’t you? As for the ergonomics of the handle, brushes, etc., keep in mind that everyone has different teeth, mouth-size, hand and finger size–so for heaven’s sake, if you want customized toothbrushes then get out the wallet and hire someone to engineer one just for you! Last, I might sound like a shill for the manufacturer, but I’m just buying another new pack and I saw a lot of whiny complaints about fifty-cent toothbrushes and couldn’t resist whining back. They’re cheap, soft enough, so move on and go crab about one of the other fifty things you buy here–if you haven’t already.

I decided to rely on all the honest and genuine reviews across the sites to help me choose this time. Wow, did that pay off!
Top Notch Clean – as good as my expensive $250 SoniCare. I’ve tried many $10-20 expensive manual brushes, and this is the best clean and highest quality I’ve found.
I had to stop using the SoniCare because it was causing my veneers to loosen and my composite fillings were wearing down. So, by my dentists advice, I’m back to a manual brush and I’m so happy I found this! Clean mouth, no plaque like SoniCare did, but without the vibration that caused me to have to replace a veneer, and soon a filling 🙁
Get this one! A+++

I bought two packs of these expecting them to be soft, as labelled. If you have legitimate health concerns or medical reasons to use soft bristles, this is absolutely not for you. I recently had gum grafts and would never have used these within the first three months post-surgery, because they would have almost certainly tore something. These are fantastic toothbrushes for someone who likes hard, aggressive bristles. They’re sleek, lightweight, and have a tongue scraper which is nice. If these were at all soft, they would be five stars. But the whole reason I chose to purchase these was because they were alleged to be soft, which they’re so far from it’s almost laughable.

It’s a cheap toothbrush. If you need a cheap toothbrush, then get these.
The head is large, which is okay, I guess. I suspect that some people will really like that, and others will really dislike it, and that most people will be like me and not care a lot.
The handle is too skinny for me. It’s thicker than a pencil, but not by much. There’s also something about the grip, or the way that it goes from slightly thicker to thin again that seems to land in exactly the wrong spot for my fingers. Perhaps it’s just my arthritic fingers, but I just can’t use this with any kind of comfort. The rest of these are going in the “in case you forgot something” cabinet for guests.

We had been buying Oral B branded toothbrushes from CostCo for years, but their quality has gone down so much over the years (the brush lose its shape and even individual bristles fall out) and their cost keeps inching up that it sent us on a search for something better.
These are the answer! Cheap, durable, easy to grip, and stream-lined.
The last point is kind of interesting. So many toothbrushes keep getting more bulky with each passing year — their handles are thicker with special grips, etc. All in all, many toothbrushes are getting too “big”. These fight that trend and remain compact. Much easier to travel with and actually nicer to use day-to-day.

We have been using these for a while and they seem to be good toothbrushes for the price. We have added this to our “Subscribe and Save” list to save some additional money. A new pack shows up every few months and also helps remind us to change them out. There are a few things to be aware of with these though before you buy:
1 – These are listed as a soft toothbrush, but they are not your typical “soft”. When we first got these my wife asked if I would change the order to soft, she thought they felt more like medium bristles.
2- The handle is skinny and to me feels a little off when using it.
These are very basic toothbrushes, they do a good job though and we continue to use them because of price and convenience with the subscription program.

I bought these because I thought they were going to be soft. And they don’t let us buy less than 2 packages minimum. I thought it was a good deal anyway.Problem is, these toothbrush are nothing but soft. They make my gum bleed so bad!! I can’t even imagine what their ”medium” and ”hard” bristles feel like. Those toothbrush feel like I am brushing my teeth with sandpaper.I don’t like to complain, but this product is so bad that I felt it was my DUTY to warn other people.Unless you like being in pain and spitting blood when you brush your teeth, avoid at all costs.Wish they would offer a refund if they care about their customers.

I wish I read the reviews before purchasing. But upon my husband and I using these and saying they are not soft, I read the reviews at night and the two of us were laughing with tears streaming down our faces. Oh man, that laugh session was just what we needed after the month we have had. Hahaha. I will always read reviews first now.
